Design Studio, Slavic Village
After arson destroyed the interior, we began to rework and rebuild the space for a local clothing design company. The character of the original warehouse was kept, and we used an elevated platform to build out a kitchenette and meeting area while keeping the space below open and flexible for the tenants. Environmental and safety issues were resolved after the smoke and fire damage wrecked the surfaces and mechanicals, and we were able to maintain the exterior appearances by repairing the windows damaged by the fire and the attempts to extinguish it. The tenants were left with a unit that is filled with the character of an old industrial building while boasting upgrades that make it the comfortable, clean, and updated headquarters for a growing business that it is today.
